“Flashing…flashing…” Renee repeated as she watched the test results slowly appear. It would make perfect sense if it came out to be positive, explain the sudden increase in emotions, and little patience she had for everyone. Ramone played a role in that change but she was content with this excuse. As the words began to appear she silently promised herself that she’d tell Eric about Ramone and also apologize to Cian for avoiding her. She missed her friend severely but couldn’t look her in the eye without falling apart over the fact that she’d once tried to convince Cian to give him a chance. Almost placed her in the hands of danger.
“Pregnant.” She mumbled, taking a deep breath and releasing it with a sigh. She blinked hard, looked at the test again and this time, laughed at the fact that she’d thought she was seeing things. It was positive. In bold black letters and clear as day. Renee sighed again as she made her way out of the bathroom. It was best to tell him while she was still trying the digest the idea of being a mother.
Renee followed the sound of laughter, knitting her brows as she saw Eric sitting next to the TV instead of in front of it. Who was he talking to? Laughing with? “Eric?” She inched forward and stopped when Ramone’s eye’s met hers.
“Hey Babe!” Eric beamed, “Guess what! Cian and Ramone are getting married!”
Renee’s eyes widened and her hands began to shake. She looked passed Ramone to Cian who was avoiding her gaze. She was staring dead ahead playing with her fingers as if she couldn’t hear anything that was going on in the room. “Cian, can I talking to you for a minute?”
“We were just leaving.” Ramone answered for her, leading Cian off of the sofa.
“It will only take a second.” She spoke through clenched teeth, watching Eric’s attention fall upon her through the corner of her eye.
“Sorry Renee. We have some arrangements that need to be taken care of. She’ll call you.” He turned smoothly flashing a smile before leading Cian out of the apartment.
“What the hell was that about?” Eric stood with the intention of pulling her into a hug. Renee pushed away from him and locked herself in the bathroom, her loud sobs ripping through the door.

I'm so devastated, I don't even know where to start. Renee finding out she's pregnant, her fears about Ramone, her guilt for pushing Cian to date that creep, it's all too much, and I can just feel it weighing her down, and the walking in and seeing her friend so broken. She knows that Cian's in trouble but she can't help her because her own safety depends on her silence. Man Ramone has all his bases covered. But there has to be a loose end somewhere, there's no such thing as a perfect plan. Let's hope he gets cocky soon, then he'll get sloppy and then the long arm of the law, and maybe some justice will deal with him. I can't wait.
This was incredible Qui, I think you've portrayed the part of a sociopath so well with Ramone.
Renee has a lot on her shoulders! Finding out she is pregnant is the lightest part of everything. This is the beginning of the storm. Renee won't be able to keep silent anymore. She'll have to tell Eric why she isn't going to to engagement party and exactly what happened with Ramone.
He was smart. Made sure he has everything accounted for. As for a loose end...he has his mother looking out for him so the chances of that are slim.

You get me all excited because Renee is happy, then you crush me by not letting her hormones cause her to jump Ramone and tear him apart...
Strange, I just can't hate Ramone as much as everyone else...I keep thinking that maybe there's a tumor in his brain or something....
