A few shot weeks after leaving the hospital Cian and Wilson stood on the sandy edge of the beach in the back of their new home, gazing into each other’s eye, hand in hand, promising to love and cherish each other until the end of time. Wilson allowed his eyes to travel up and down Cian’s body with admiration. The way her black hair fell loosely over her shoulder added contrast to the strapless satin dress enhancing the new shape of her body. Despite her complaints over the tiny bulge extending from her pelvis to her navel, she felt beautiful, alive, happy to have finally realized that all the love she needed was there on the beach, pledging his love and devotion to her.

“Kiss her!” Renee shouted, causing them both to laugh with a quick flashback from their childhood. She’d convinced them kiss and quiet possibly forced them to fall in love at that very moment.
Cian stood on her toes as she draped her arms around his shoulder, finalizing their marriage with deep kiss conveyed with an immense amount of passion and ended with a smile against his lips.
She was doing that a lot lately, smiling from ear to ear, making him love her more and more with each passing day, week, and month. As if the thought of his child growing inside of her wasn’t enough, he took pleasure in watching her pregnancy progress and almost wished it would never end.
When she wasn’t pulling through the refrigerator and stuffing everything in sight down her throat,
She was carrying around a bucket of hot soapy water, scrubbing everything she could get her hands on and washing nitpicking over the arrangement of the furniture both in and outside of the baby’s room. Cian had done everything to prepare for their son’s arrival, all but chosen a name.
She stood in front of a painting she’d been working on for a little over two months, fighting back the urge to laugh at the names Wilson had come up with. “Anything but Will Jr, huh?” She shot him a cute smirk and went back to pushing the brush across the canvas. “No. He needs his own identity. I don’t want him to feel like he has to follow in my footsteps because he’s my namesake. How about Ian?”
“Too short.” She answered quickly.
 “Anthony?”
“Too average.”
“Jaden?”
“Over used!”
Wilson released a frustrated sigh, tossing a clean paint brush that’d fallen to the floor into the small tray in front of the canvas. “You come up with something then!”

“Nope! We had an agreement!” She kept her eyes focused on the painting ahead of her. “He has to have a name that will stand out. One that if we called his name in a crowd full of people, he’d be the only one to turn around.” She glanced quickly at him then back to her painting. No painting ever took this long or consumed her as much as this one. She obsessed over the color, perspective, proportion and accuracy of each image and on many occasions, thought about scrapping it and starting over. The absence of Wilson’s sisters at Claudio’s hand prompted her to paint this reminder, perfect image that would always symbolize the one thing they’d never want him to forget. “What do you think, Babe?” She handed Wilson the paint covered palette and took a step back. On first glance she noticed a few mistakes she’d correct after the paint dried but overall, she was content and sure the message was clear.
“I love it!” Wilson pushed off the stool and pulled her into an embrace as he looked on in amazement. “One request though,” He dropped his hands from her round belly to her hips, “Can I get this model to pose naked for me? I want to take mental pictures of-” Cian turned and swatted his arm, “It’s in the name of art, I swear!” He chuckled, pulling her back into his arms.
“You’re so silly!” She brushed her nose against his lovingly.
“Silly huh?” He pulled back slightly and looked down at her stomach between them. “I have a name for him. Cillian.”
Cian grinned, loving the name the second it slipped through his lips. It was the perfect combination of their names and just as unique as he was destined to be.

“Cillian it is.”

I was so happy to see an update, and a happy one at that, when I finally got some computer time today!
I love that these two got such a happy ending. The wedding was beautiful. You can totally feel how much these two absolutely love each other by the way you write.
Hopefully we will get to see the baby soon!

oh Qui, this is so lovely! Thank you SO MUCH for something like this. The painting is GORGEOUS and brought tears to my eyes, and watching Cian 'nesting' by cleaning every single spot was so sweet and so true.

Wonderful, romantic, and completely sweet!!
